The New World Order
The Attitude Era The New World Order streets Nov. 6 with the Attitude Era following on Nov. 20. Both 2-disc sets will include a comprehensive documentary as well as matches with bonus blu-ray content. The timely announcment of these two releases comes just weeks after WWE settled their lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund allowing them to resume use of the scratch logo; so no more blurring . Given the content, both blu-rays have the potential to be two of the best blu-rays/DVDS WWE has put out. Last edited by NoSireeBob; 08-15-2012 at 11:23 PM. |

Excellent news!!! Attitude Era blu-ray seemingly released to coincide with WWE '13 game, which is Attitude Era themed. and I loved the nWo Back in Black doc from 2002 so I'm definitely getting this one too!

This is good. I've know idea why WWF made such a fuss about this. You can't really confuse the two. Foley, Panda, Hardy boys, Hyenas, Lita,Flamingo, Big Slo, Hippo.
I stopped my donations when I realised they weren't supporting species Mcmahon. who knows where they were going. |

I can only assume if they do a Wrestlemania Anthology again, they'll wait to after Mania XXX. (They love their even numbers). How many Manias can fit on a BD-50? 30 discs would be pretty pricey.
I've dreamed of "Special Edition" releases of each Mania, loaded with bonus matches leading up, current interviews, memorials, and alt. commentaries... Sigh. |

You have a better chance of seeing pigs flying. WWE is making it seem like beniot never existed. Its sad though, cuz that feud was amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing that best out of 5 series that booker t and Beniot had, on some type of WCW release.

I always thought they discontinued Vol. 4 of the WM DVD Anthology because of the blurring or to get away from the attitude era. In reality, it was to further erase Chris Benoit from their archives. If they do a blu-ray WM anthology, I don't see how they will approach this. I guess they would just erase all mention of him as well as his matches but then you are eliminating the main event from WM XX; but still, I think this is what they would do. |

Benoit will still be in a complete anthology if those get released. The SummerSlam and Elimination Chamber anthologies were released after his stuff and he was still on those.
But a match on something like these sets, never again. And that's how it should be. |

Why? You can't pretend he never existed because of what he did. He tarnished his legacy irreparably in the minds of many but he was a key figure in a major part of wrestling history. If you don't want to put him in the hall of fame or idolise him then fine, I get that, but trying to erase him from wrestling history is a futile exercise.

Chris Benoit is still one of my favorite wrestlers of all time.
So other wrestlers have committed suicide, have abused their wives and kids, etc., but only Benoit gets ignored? That's unfair. |

Lets not turn this into a Benoit thread eh? Vince McMahon has already said they wont 'promote' him, but they also won't forget his place his WWE history (see WWE Encyclopedia news).
I can't wait for a new NWO release. Back in Black started out good, but just turned into the average clip show once they hit the WWE in 2002.

That One Guy will be kept intact. WWE will just edit out any positive commentary about him as seen on the Eliminaton Chamber DVD.
