So will the theatrical Simpsons' short The Longest Daycare (which played before this in the movies) be available on this BD? That'd give me some incentive to get it.

I think it's weird they released the digital copy (iTunes, Downloads, etc.) before the actual bluray

Can't wait to add Continental Drift to my collection with the other 4 Ice Age blus. I saw it in theaters and enjoyed it very much.

any idea if Fox retained the 7.1 mix that was released to movie theaters, or did Fox do their standard 5.1 'only' bluray coding?

I'm in for the 3D set once it's $20 or less.

I've been noticing a lot of digital early releases on iTunes in the past few months.

Just this week alone, Men in Black III, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Ice Age 4, Total Recall (2012). Previously, Prometheus, Amazing Spiderman, and many others that I can't recall off the top of my head.

No, it doesn't. It means digital distributors are trying to find a way to get your money by offering the product first.

Who's job is it on Blu-ray.com to decide when a given release date is for a move. Even at the beginning if this thread is says Dec. 4th. On the site it says Dec. 11th for the US and in Canada it says Jan. 1st 2013. Amazon.ca says Dec. 11 _ same for the US.
Well which is it... Very frustrating _ should I pre-order from Amazon.com or wait to see what's correct. Is it so difficult to get this information right ?

Any member can go edit any movie's listing, then it gets submitted for site approval. Just go to said listing, and click "Edit Movie" and you can enter the correct date. Obviously errors like this are bound to happen, that why the community polices itself when it comes to listing information.
