It's called UltraViolet and why would you even want HD Digital Copy crap when you have the Blu-ray disc in the first place?

For me I like it when the hdx copy is included in vudu. I'll be laying in bed not wanting to get up after not wanting to watch whatever the 99 cent movie of the day is. So I just browse over to my digital collection and choose something. Is the blu ray better? Of course. Is it worth getting out of bed just to watch something I'm trying to fall asleep to. Nah

They do. I explained how easy it was in another thread to make a digital copy from the BD that is uncompressed. All you need is a way to play .m2ts files and an portable external hard drive.

I'm not an expert or anything so this is just a question. Wouldn't it take up a lot of the iPads or iPhones memory to do that? Digital copies take up enough as it is.

You're not an idiot. Most people just don't think about using portable external hard drives as a way to watch BDs without the discs. All you need besides the hard drive is a way to play the .m2ts file. VLC is what I usually recommend to people because it's free, but doesn't contain the features of some of the ones you can purchase such as PowerDVD.

I am new to this digital copy stuff as I have alway had a sh*t computer until I got this mac. And buying apple TV now I have become a bit more interested in the whole iTunes thing. I just opened an account like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am downloading my first 2 movies Hunger Games and Jaws now. My question is can I download/redeem this more than once. I know you can't do it like 10 times but I remember reading something about like 3 downloads allowed or something like that. Or am I mixing this up with Ultraviolet. Another question is this gonna be in my iTunes account if I some how say lose or erase it can I just go back and re-download it? However now that I see how easy and kind of cool this is. I think I may need a bigger hard drive. I am putting all my dvd's on it and now I think I am gonna redeem a lot of my iTunes DCs. Now if they are expired do I just email them for a new code and send them the old code to prove it was not redeemed or are those just lost? Thank You for your help. |
