The issue is actually really starting to piss me off now. It's a pretty big fault IMO. Oppo should be correcting the problem instead of just sitting on their hands. They can't blame other equipment, because it wasn't happening before doing the update.

Go post that in the BDP-93 thread, not this thread that is the Oppo BDP-103/105 Networked Blu-Ray players thread, its a different player then what you have.

In short if you still have a issue, email service@oppodigital.com
Make sure you are using BDP9x-74-0908

If you notice the BDP-93 thread is no longer the sticky, this one is now.

No need to be rude mate. It was in response to the members post I quoted who posted a link to the 93/95 thread about the hdmi handshake issue. Maybe you should have directed your post at that member John

Since you seem to have quite a close relationship with Oppo (from what I can gather anyway), then instead of having a go about what thread it should be posted in, maybe in your talks with them you could be helpful and bring the issue to their attention? I'm sure the members who are experience such issues with the 93/95/103/105 would much appreciate it .

If you still have HDMI handshake issue with BDP9x-74-0908, describe in the other thread and I will let you know if we can help.

You can actually output 3D from HDMI-2 and reverse the usage so that audio is coming from HDMI-1 as another trial.
Curious to what turns out to work for you now.
Tried second one also, no dice!

Ok, this is silly. If people are having issues with the dual hdmi outputs then why is oppo not fixing it? They gave me the run around as well before giving up. The whole idea of buying the oppo was to get HD sound with 3D.

I see you are posting in both forums, if you disconnect cable going to AVR, do you see 3D video in HDTV?

Yeah I did the latest update a couple of days ago, and it didn't fix it. It's quite annoying actually, because things were perfect with it before doing the official firmware update released in April this year . All my settings are exactly the same as they were before doing the update, and everything is set up the same as well, nothing has changed, except now I'm having the hdmi handshake issues using the dual hdmi outputs when I never used to.

No however you can certainly interface a AppleTV to the HDMI inputs for both audio streaming and video mirroring against recent Mac desktops and laptops running 10.8.x.

It requires licensing fees associated with incorporating Apple Airplay. You can suggest this as a additional to Oppo Digital, but given alternatives, I'm not sure its that important anymore, as some AVR's support it directly.

Does anyone have a clue when authorized resellers (Best Buy and Amazon.com) will start selling the Oppo 103? Thanks!

Best Buy in-store MagnoliaAV centers doesn't sell Oppo players, only Magnolia Design Centers which used to be the old Magnolia HiFi chain that BestBuy bought and moved into some Best Buys. They might get the product almost as soon as it is shipping (today), Amazon is probably a month off.

Ok that tells us something, because of using just one port, and still black screen. Do you have deep color enabled in HDMI settings at all? What happens if you turn off 1080P/24? Have you updated to the latest FW that came out today?

No deep color enabled.

1080p/24 is on auto. I haven't turned it off.

Latest firmware makes no difference.

If you don't mind me asking, are you working with Oppo?

There are several of us that are, on various forums. See a few people commented the same observation, so its being looked at.

That is good news. When do you expect to have some feedback?

Yesterday I watching star wars and in the middle, I decided to hit the 3D button. Image showed up on the TV but the sound immediately went out. Not sure if you guys have seen this.
