Lionsgate and Miramax have announced the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection, coming to Blu-ray on November 20th. You can check out the full details followed by the artwork below!

Celebrating Quentin Tarantino’s legendary filmmaking, Lionsgate and Miramax are proud to present the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection, arriving on Blu-ray Disc November 20th.

Tarantino XX contains eight films chosen by Tarantino to illustrate the first 20 years of his career, featuring the films that helped define his early success, including Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. To complete the stunning high definition 10-disc set, the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection also features two discs with five hours of all-new bonus material, highlighted by a critics’ retrospective on Tarantino’s groundbreaking catalog of films and “20 Years of Filmmaking” that contains interviews with critics, stars and other masters of cinema.

Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection showcases one of the most innovative filmmakers of our time and is a must-have for serious film fans, as Tarantino’s highly-anticipated new film, Django Unchained, prepares to hit theaters. Honoring the 20th anniversary of Reservoir Dogs – the cultural milestone that brought Tarantino to the forefront as a cinematic legend – the collection is highlighted by recurring appearances from celebrated actors including Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction) and Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), and also includes starring performances from iconic actors such as Brad Pitt (Inglourious Basterds), Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) and Robert Forster (Jackie Brown).

Tarantino XX on Blu-ray also features striking, original artwork designed and illustrated by MONDO (http://www.mondotees.com). Housed in collectible packaging, the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection will be available for the suggested retail price of $119.99.

That's cool, man. Depending on the price, it might be worth a double dip.

However, I am a little disappointed with the special features for Kill Bill. I wasn't expecting The Whole Bloody Affair(I give up on that one), but something more than a making of, and that lame Damoe scene would be nice.
Yippee ki yay

It might be worth it if Reservoir Dogs gets lossless audio and True Romance gets a new master.

Meh, I've already got all these on Blu-ray and my guess is they'll be the same as the current discs on the market. Not really interested in a fancy box or a career retrospective disc that I'll never watch...

If True Romance got a new transfer, I'd buy it just for that.

I already own:

Inglorious Basterds (Canada SteelBook / Universal 100th Slipcover)
Kill Bill, Vol. 1 (Canada SteelBook)
Kill Bill, Vol. 2 (Canada SteelBook)
Pulp Fiction (Standard BD With Slipcover)
Reservoir Dogs (15th Anniversary Edition BD)

So I think I'll pass, I do have the Grindhouse Double Feature on my list to buy.

Wow. So Lionsgate traded the licenses for Memento and Terminator 2 in exchange for the license for True Romance from Warner Brothers. That explains that deal..

Ooh, that's sweet but I already own half of his movies on BD. If they would have put a newly remastered version of From Dusk Till Dawn in the set, then it would be worth it.

FWIW the CA steelbook looks much better than the standard US and CA releases.

Really? That's odd. Aren't both released by Alliance in Canada?

No problem, but to be honest the differences in both CA versions are miniscule at best. One thing is for sure: they are both superior to the US version.

I'd wager that you wouldn't really notice any difference between the two Canadian releases. They look pretty damn similar (which, to my eyes, means they look pretty damn solid all around).

Well I guess this puts a stake in the heart of The Whole Bloody Affair. I might just pick this up.
