Oh, they fixed it (103 minutes), the spoilsports.

And where exactly did this come from? If it's a placeholder, there must've been a rumor sometime--When the site tells us, that's not exactly a Wish List thread.

I hate placeholder listings. They're absolutely pointless. It's not like you can't create one within a minute once it's officially announced. All it does is add confusion for some people.

Must be all the footage when the time traveler goes from the year 1966 AD to 802,701 AD. He made a jillion pit-stops, and they all got cut.

Default I hope I don't get in trouble here...

...but there are very nice .mkv versions of some of the movies you guys mention, "out there" in the usual places.

I definitely have a sorta "Collector" kinda mentality and when stuff that I love comes out officially, I pick it up - sometimes even if the reviews say that it sucks... but there are lots of Movies that may not be officially released for a very long time, if at all.

Recently, I accidentally came across 1080p and 720p versions of things that have never been released on blu-ray or HD DVD. I assume they were copped off of some streaming site like Amazon or NetFlix or whatever... and then spread around.

I found a really nice looking Time Machine (1960) and a Buckaroo Banzai (1984) and Popeye (1980). They're .mkv and if you pass-through the mp4 from the .mkv Container, they play fine though a PS3 on my 55".

So, until they are officially released, these will do.

Just my two cents.

I'm watching this movie on TCM-HD right now. Are they just upsampling the DVD ?

If they are, I'll have to get it, because it looks pretty good !
