Thumbs up 'Escape from Alcatraz' (Clint Eastwood) arriving on Blu in late 2013!

Great news coming from Paramount today!Paramount Film Club remarked (via their FB page) that Escape from Alcatraz is being prepared for its Blu-ray debut later next year!
Not much of a surprise though, since it's a great, popular movie, and since Warner now distributing a good chunk of their catalogue (and Warner loves Clint!).

Great news on this release. Keep them coming. I really expect a decline in the amount of posts claiming that the only way to buy a catalog title is to pay $35...or maybe not .
Most anticipated release: The Hidden Fortress

If Warner is releasing it then a digibook would be nice.

Great news that it's coming out. Not so great that we have to wait a whole year.

Sweet. This was never released anamorphically on DVD and this gives me a good reason to chunk the non-anamorphic piece of junk.

I hope it's the uncut version seen on TV all these years.
