I agree. Everyone has different tastes and I always respect that, and I'm happy for any catalog that helps someone replace a dvd or fill out their collection, but I just didn't like this film even on a rainy afternoon on free cable. Surprising, considering how fond I am of the two leads.

michelle pfieffer is just plain HOT in this movie. those scenes where she takes off her shirt.....*drools*
however, does anyone remember the pan and scan DVD that used to ask you if you want to view "widescreen" or "full screen"? and for some reason the full screen version showed MORE screen on the top and bottom then the widescreen version? which version will be on the bluray? also as far as chemistry, i dont think pfieffer and clooney had it much. i think there was tons more chemistry between pfieffer and keaton in Batman Returns. ironically both actors played batman lol. I love this movie. When I was homeless in Charlottesville VA when this came out, the owner of the Regal Cinema on the downtown mall (who was a friend) let me go in and watch any movies I wanted. I remember seeing this multiple times.
This and Bounce are my two favorite chick flicks. |

Sorry to be just a little nitpicky here, but it wasn't Norah Jones who sang the opening song, it was Natalie Merchant.

Dammit, I came here to say this and you beat me to the punch LOL. I used to listen to the soundtrack to this movie like it was my job. I actually think her version is quite lovely, with respect to the reviewer.

All you need to do when you see errors like that is contact us--which some nice person did. I knew it was Natalie Merchant, not quite sure why my fingers decided it was Norah Jones.

I guess I'm one of the few posting who actually enjoyed this movie. The worst part is, I didn't even know it was coming out until 5 minutes ago; it slipped under the radar. I will definately pick this up soon. It's not a perfect movie, but it has it's moments. Now I just need Sleepless in Seattle and Return to Me on BD to round out my chick flick collection

Completely see why this movie gets mixed feelings. I have always liked it. Not sure why. Now that I have kids I guess my appreciation for it is even more fond. I can believe a lot the chaos that ensues in this movie because I am always surprised at the chaos my kids bring to me.

The movie makes a great double feature with 'You've Got Mail' since '..Mail' is basically a love letter to the Upper West Side and 'One Fine Day' pays love to the Upper East Side.

im not sure whether to judge this as a troll comment or simply didnt watch the same movie, because all 3 leads, including the always brilliant walken, were great in the movie. you wanna talk bad acting, look no further then dark kight rises. hathaway simply stunk up the place. also i can handle clooney and of course the lovely gorgeus pfieffer, over fuzzy hair goofball tom hanks and annoying meg ryan.
