Thanks for the heads up! Pre-ordered. (-: Just finished watching season 2 last month. Can't wait to watch season 3. Never watch shows when they air. Always wait until they are released on DVD/Blu-ray. Takes a tremendous amount of will power at times, but it's worth it.

Interested on what they will do with a "Special Edition."

I have both the Season 1 Limited Edition with the zombie mask, and the Season 2 "Head Edition."

I assume they would do it again, and I don't mind paying a premium.

Yes: I concur with the last two posts.

I'll be waiting 'cos I definitely hope there is a Limited Edition Season 3 digipack. (Similar to the S1 3 disc SE & the digipack that came with S2 LE (found inside the head)).
As I live in Australia, I had to import the S2 Limited Edition as was not available in Australia, (save for a couple of comic shops, at outrageous prices). I bought the head specifically for the digipack, to go with my S1 copy. Didn't want it, but ended up liking the head anyway...

But PLEASE! I hope there is no head this time. Just the digipack would be nice.

Oh yeah, Season 3 Eps 1 & 2 have been very good, especially the writing on "Seed" (Ep1).

Fantastic opening sequence that was clever, stylised writing. Filled in the gap between seasons brilliantly. 5 Stars. Glen Mazzara did a great job. He has filled Darabont's shoes well thus far.

Now I'm off to watch Ep3...

Why the hell do people act so surprised when a new season is up for pre-order? 99% of the time, studios put up pre-orders in the first few weeks of the new season. Countless shows are available for pre-order right now. It isn't a "bad sign" and it's nothing to worry about. It's a business strategy. the end lol
