Its definitely better than the DVD but I didnt like the PQ that much. It looks very pleasing during the daylight scenes for instance the ski chase scene looks fantastic but the picture quality shifts from good to bad during the movie. Its not a solid transfer as reviewed here. But maybe its just me. But its worth a buy for sure.

I agree the quality is bad at the end but if you compare the scenes like ski chase. Its way better than the DVD. But yes the PQ overall is not good.

The Spy Who Loved Me is "Region Locked" for Region "A". While I don't have the boxed set, there's a 99% chance that the individual disk is the same one that appears in the boxed set.
I'm looking at the individual release and it says "Region A" for the North American release. |

I think all the original releases were locked, the newer ones are region free if I recall (I'm sure someone confirmed it in the UK thread when they imported them). There are quite a few releases that say A or B on the box and are region ABC.

Uh, the individual release of the Spy Who Loved Me, which was released around the time of Skyfall, is the same disk that is included in the Bond 50 boxed set. lols I have the disk and it's region locked. Trust me on this. lols

Cretin? I don't normally revert to using what I would define as "colorful word descriptions" when referring to others. lols
At any rate, I'm simply going by what others have said about the pressings of the recent Bond 50 Blu-rays and the individual releases and the fact that the Blu-ray cover art states that the "Spy Who Loved Me" is presented as "Region A Locked". lols |
