Default Red Dwarf: X - 1/18/13

Digitalbits just posted the following yesterday:

Warner and the BBC have set Red Dwarf: X for Blu-ray and DVD release on 1/8/13 (SRP $39.98 and $34.98). This is the brand new series. No word yet on extras if any, but all 6 episodes will be included.

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/column...ts/103112_1500

I cant wait. It has been an okay season so far, definitely glad to see the boys back on the dwarf even if its in a different form without some of hte other cast. Hope XI gets made next year...

Any other fans lookin forward to this blu?

Can a Mod fix the title to reflect 1/8/13. I apparently typed it wrong.

Default Do I get the RDX Blu Ray or DVD ???

I know the first thing you guys will say is Blu ray , but the dvd set comes with a reversible sleeve so it will match up with the other dvds which are all sitting on my shelf, so do I go for the matching set and lose the HD godness or say nuts to having the complete set and go HD ??????

Red Dwarf Season 1-9 was filmed on videotape. I don't think there will be a huge difference from DVD if they were to put the all the seasons on blu-ray.

9 or 'Back to Earth' is already available, the rest were shot in SD so a BD release would be pretty pointless.

9 isn't even worth watching (let alone buying) so I would hope this is better than that.

This is getting some decent reviews on Amazon so I'm going to take your guy's words for it and pick this one up on a blind buy.

I'd still buy it but I just love Red Dwarf. Even if Back to Earth wasn't the best.

Series X was far superior to 'Back to Earth', some really goods episodes in there.

This is on sale at Best buy for 14.95 and you can upgrade and save with an old dvd to get it for 10 bucks. It is a great series so if you do not already have it you might want to give it a try
