Default Killing Them Softly (2012)

I didn't see a thread for this upcoming film in theaters November 30, 2012. (Don't know how to make official)

Starring Brad Pitt, Sam Rockwell, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini and directed by Andrew Dominik (Assassination of Jesse James by the Cowardly Robert Ford)

Fun fact (that anyone remotely into movies probably knows anyway): The working title of this was 'Cogan's Trade'. Has Dominik been listening to a shitload of Fugees lately or something? I prefer the working title, myself. Regardless, excited.

What's the date of Blu-ray release? Is it up for pre-orders?

No.

You are on the wrong section man. This should be moved to "movies" sub forum.

That's the name of the George V. Higgins novel it's based on (One of the few I haven't read). He also wrote The Friends of Eddie Coyle which is available on DVD from Criterion. I believe, 'Cogan' has been kicking around hollywood for years. I think I have a paperback that has a coming soon to theaters blurb on it, but I could be wrong.

But since it doesn't open until the end of the month, this should be in the movies discussion forum.
US/UK films that need to be on blu-ray:Foreign Correspondent (1940, Hitchcock), The Wicker Man (1973, Hardy), Thunderheart (1992, Apted) , Lone Star (1996, Sayles)

Foreign films that need to be on blu-ray:
Raise The Red Lantern (1991, Zhang), The Best of Youth (2003, Giordana), Still Life (2006, Jia), 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007, Mungiu)

I've got high expectations for this movie. But,as others have already stated,it's placed in the wrong section.

It should be merged with this thread http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread....ng+them+softly

More suited for the wishlist-section indeed.

Anyway I saw this in theaters about a week ago(It came out on October 18th over here) and I really liked it. It may be a bit slow at points, but it was really enjoyable. Excellent performance by the cast I might add, Brad Pitt especially.

You would have found the thread for the movie if you looked in the right forum. It's right here:

Killing Them Softly (from the director of The Assassination of Jesse James)
