You can still see it theatrically, I think (here in the US).

The only theater even slightly near me is San Francisco, but that's still a little far for me. Is there anywhere I can watch it legitimately online? I found something called Curzon on Demand, but I don't know if it will work in the US. If anyone has any information that might help me it would be greatly appreciated. I want to see this before the end of the year!

I don't know about that, but it's really unfortunate it's too far away. It's one of the best films I've seen this year, hope you get a chance soon.

I was curious, is this a longer version of his short film in "Tokyo!", or does it just feature the same character?

No. Denis Lavant plays several characters in the film, one of which is Monsieur Merde, who famously appeared in the Carax segment of Tokyo!

I'm so excited to be able to own this. In my top 5 of the year, no doubt. Hope there are some worthy extras, but I'm not counting on it. Hope we get more Carax on blu next year.

Solid company.

Their releases are distributed by a bigger party (I believe Vivendi are still in charge). Their release of Detective Dee... was outstanding

I wish I had gotten this on blu-ray when it was available...I'd like to see that film.

I'll take a chance on a blind buy, but I'll get it a month sooner and $15 cheaper by going with the UK version.

Now that's an idea! The US version will probably come down in price before release, but the UK version does come out a whole month sooner. Pre-ordered on Amazon.uk

Can somebody shed a bit more light on this film and what it is about, please?

French art movie about an actor who travels around in a stretch limo putting on elaborate disguises and acting out scenes as various characters for unknown purposes. That's what happens, what it's about is more complicated and subjective.

To give you an idea of what you're in for if you watch it, it's basically a series of short films that are connected by the presence of the actor. If you like David Lynch films you will likely appreciate it, it's fairly surreal at times.

One of the best films of the year in my opinion, but not for everyone.
