Good that it's happening so soon. I just saw it last week, and I was entertained and never bored for the entirety, but it just didn't move me or connect with me on an emotional level, like it has for many people. Looking forward to giving it another watch though.

I thought this movie was an enjoyable mess, I think I'd like it more on second viewing. If it's cheap I'll get it, or wait till it's around $10.

Absolutely loved this movie. Saw it twice(once in IMAX) and I'd probably see it a third time if it was still playing near me. Really glad the Blu is coming out so soon, let's hope it's packed with special features.

I love the Wachowski's. I've been meaning to see it but I just couldn't fit it in on time with the other films being released. Just too much to see.

Sort of?
They're both spiritual, deal in some way with reincanation(though Cloud Atlas takes it a step further) and have multiple storylines... But the films feel completely different. Different style, different central themes. Fountain is much darker(it is Aronofsky after all) whereas, like much of the Wachowski's and Twyker's work, cloud Atlas doesnt take itself as seriously. Like the Matrix, it has its grim moments and its more campy moments as well.

And interesting way someone(can't remember who unfortunately) described this was a 3 hour long version of the third act of Inception. That has more to do with te editing and style, than the actual film and story though.

I highly recommend this film. Even people I know who didn't love it the way I did can at least admit that it was worth seeing just because it's so unique in regards to the storytelling/editing and makeup effects.

I would have to agree with you. I thought the film was a masterpiece. I can understand why the film may not sit well with others, but I thought everything about it was spectacular and had a huge epic scope to it. I can't wait for the blu-ray.

If there was one film I would suggest seeing in a theater this year, it would be this one. Cloud Atlas is one of those films that felt like an experience on the big screen (like Titanic, Avatar, or the Nolan Batman tiliogy) and I was changed by it. Total masterpiece in my opinion.

Day one for me! The more I thought about this film after seeing it the more I realized I loved it. Definitely a film that needs to be seen more than once though.

I was acually worried about seeing the film at first due to the mixed reviews, but I went into it with an open mind and I was blown away! It really is a film that makes you think about life in general.

Last rumor I heard was March so this would be fantastic news! It was one of the rare movies where I wanted to walk back into the theater for another viewing. The Wachowskis are good at creating that feeling in me.

Best film of 2012 so far. Best film I have seen in years. Wonderful.
Blu-ray better come packed with extras. It deserves it. WB has a way of screwing fans though so I am sure they will screw up this release.

Nope. I will see it but I am no rush. From all the trailers I have seen for it I think it looks like poo though.
Pi has a cast I could care less about and it is PG and again, the trailer is not exciting at all. Also WE DO NOT SEE 3D in this HOUSE! Ever! So we will either sneak in to a 2D showing after paying to see something else or see it at the 2nd run theaters in a few months.
I can watch the Cloud Atlas trailer all day and get chills and goosebumps every single time I see it. I love Cloud Atlas and its ambition and scope. I love a good film score and I have purchased the Clod Atlas score and listen to it quite a bit. Best film score in many years.

The film score is AMAZING! I hope it gets nominated for an oscar. Brilliant piece of art.

And I take you are very biased by everything you just said. So what if its PG or if it doesnt have a round of well known actors? The PG rating doesnt make it less childish than Cloud Atlas, and having Hanks and Berry doesnt make it a Major motion picture either. Pi has very mature elements for its PG rating.
