Looks like a pointless release, as it is already released by Lionsgate, and the Blu-ray was great - Good PQ/AQ and a lot of special features.

seriously. It's been a few months since I watched the flick, but those look NOTHING like the kids in the movie.

It looks like it belongs in the children's section. Very bad. At least it's available though. The Lionsgate release fetches about $50 right now.

Aww, I think the cover art is fantastically cheesy. In a good way.

Let's be honest, the current BD's art isn't that great either. I personally like the look of the olive one. It has the same sort of feel as The Goonies, and both are similar in their cheesiness so I think it works

Yeah, the original art is way better. I'm curious why Olive saw the need to change the art for Monster Squad - most of their releases have retained the original poster art. Maybe it's one of those complicated rights issues.

Agree 100%. Original Lionsgate art is much better.

Got curious and checked around on e-Bay and the prices are all over the place. I saw one go for $65! But it seems the normal is anywhere from $20-30 when you average it out. Someone did get lucky and snag one for .99 cents using But It Now, that must've just been a combination of someone not knowing what they had and someone having extremely good timing.
