Looking forward to seeing it. Kenshin is my all-time favorite anime. I wish the actual series made it to BD (though not sure if the show was just made in SD or not) but this will suffice.

Yeah. I hope its good cuz its just a 2 episode remake. Anyone knows how long each episode is?

And yes, I hope the original series makes it on Blu. God I love that anime.

AMZ has the run time listed at 90 min. The first ep was 45 min so it should contain both episodes!!!

Has anybody see the Live Action Film Rurnoni Kenshin. It concentrates on from the Battle of Toba-Fushimi to the Jin-E storyline. Plus they are planning on doing sequels.

I wish, I here it's really good. I hope someone picks it up for a US release on BD.

It's getting a release in Australia from Madman in March:

"You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment."

No. It's actually pretty terrible and an insult to the actual manga and original anime's Kyoto arc.

I really wish someone would pick this up or give us in the US a release date for the blu ray already. All I ever find when I search is it's premiere in LA and that it's getting a sequel.

It would be nice to see the first movie before the sequel comes out.

Not sure why it's taking so long or why they're hesitant to release it in the US.

I agree. Amazon Germany just put up a pre-order for it recently. It has such a cool cover too. I do have a region free player so I might import it, but I would of course prefer the US get it too

Seen the Kenshin live action. Shown here in the Philippines. Was awesome!!! It really captures the anime, from the humor to the action.

It's obvious, isn't it? It's expensive as ****. The original Kenshin anime was a HUGE hit in America back when anime actually sold well, had a run on cartoon network, and is still beloved by fans. The Japanese are not somehow unaware of this. They are asking for big bucks that few companies are willing to pay nowadays.

Kenshin, Naruto, DBZ, and Yu Yu Hakusho are the Jump champions when it comes to American adaptations. Any incarnation of these shows will always be expensive.

I was drooling over the trailer when I saw it a while back on youtube. I'd blind buy it in a heartbeat if they ever released it on blu ray in English.

If that's the case, then whichever company doesn't jump on it are a bunch of morons. They will surely recoup their money on this and then some!
