It could be US - 101 Dalmatians, for all we know.

As long as we get either of those titles soon.
Prett sure it's Aladdin.

It definitely won't be Hercules or Tarzan.
The way Disney releases their Diamond editions is one Walt Disney classic in Spring, and one 90s Disney film in the Fall.

Dalmatians is probably for 2014.
I'm guessing that after Aladdin, Disney will either add more 90s films to the Diamond roster(which I doubt) or they'll go through the rest of the Walt Disney catalogue and repeat the Platinum titles(Sleeping Beauty, Pinnochio)

This is the only Disney classic I am still waiting for.

Loved it as a kid, and haven't seen it in about 25 years.

2014 seems like a long time to go, but I can wait.

It's not Star Wars after all.
When are they going to release these movies on BD?:Crossroads (Walter Hill; Steve Vai),Fun with Dick and Jane (Jim Carrey, Tea Leoni), Man on the Moon (Jim Carrey), Alien Autopsy,Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys (Jodie Foster),Fierce Creatures (John Cleese, Eric Idle, J.L.Curtis)Housesitter(Steve Martin, Goldie Hawn),Bowfinger (Steve M.), Shopgirl (Steve M.),Out of Towners (Steve Martin),Spanglish,The Odd Couple 2 (Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau),Wallace and Gromit- The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,

I thought The Lion King came out in November 2011 with Lady and the Tramp following in February 2012?

Do you really think Disney US will hold back 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin to 2014 when 101 Dalmatians is already available in some countries and Aladdin is due in March?

North America (& Asia, Latin America ...) have got Diamond edition of Peter Pan

and, we, in Europe, only standard & poorly Peter Pan edition, just like for 101 Dalmatians, so... everything is possible

I don't get why some consider the UK release of Peter Pan poor, it has great picture and audio and a ton of extras, sure the US release will be 7.1 and more extras but from some reactions you would think the UK release was bare bones with VHS picture quality lol

I think its very possible, however I think Aladdin has been officially dropped in the US to make room for Peter Pan, it did not do well financially in the US on platinum edition so they most likely gave peter pan to us, and Aladdin to the UK. 101 Dalmatians is still a very likely diamond edition here, they've had it for months now and we don't have any bit of news on it, I don't think its coming anytime soon. Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty are still officially on the line up.

I don't understand why Disney plays dumb when I email them. I asked if it was ever going to be released soon since other countries are getting it and this is the answer i got.

Hi, I have a question, not exactly Jungle Book related: what's the difference between Diamond and Platinum editions of Disney BRs? Does Diamond Edition just mean it comes with BR, DVD, digital copy, and perhaps 3D BR and not any extra special features or anything? And Platinum Edition are only BR and maybe a DVD copy? Someone please explain the difference to me, thanks.

The Platinum edition and diamond edition are virtually the same thing just titles. Unless your speaking about something different, Platinum editions ended with Pinocchio. All diamond editions used to mean prestiges with a second supplemental disc, and all diamonds had a dvd included. Now most diamond edition re-use platinum edition transfers, and only have one blu-ray. The only recent inclusion to the diamond edition line is the different versions you can purchase. All are identical besides the fact of adding various discs. The Blue border is a basic blu-ray, gold adds a digital copy, and 3D adds a 3D disc obviously. So making a long story short, the diamond edition and platinum editions are simply label's for Disney's best selling and most beloved movies, nothing more.

Ok, thanks. I was confused because of the Platinum Edition of Pinocchio at my local movie pawn shop. Its a BR, but the case looked like a DVD case (I didn't get super close to it, it was in a glass case). Kinda ugly looking for BR, but I'm thinking of getting it for around $25 since its OOP and I love the film. Anyways, it's pretty stupid they have different tiers (like $5 difference for only a digital copy).

haha they have so many different versions out its not even funny, just about all blu-ray's issued by disney have a DVD + Blu-ray combo pack, meaning its a dvd casing. Thats most likely what you saw at the local pawn shop. I'm not sure if Pinocchio was issued a DVD cased blu-ray though.

It actually was, But I believe it was a few months after the original release. Probably around the time when Snow White was released:
