Very Exciting News! It's a favorite of mine! Hopefully some special features? I only have the Echo Bridge DVD.

It depends, if you're a fan of late 90s slashers like "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" then this should please you. That said, this film is by no means a slasher, it's really more of a black comedy and Kevin Williamson, writer of the "Scream" films, directed it.

Meh. I can think of many other late '90s/early '00s teen movies that can use a blu release instead.

At least these upcoming releases are individual releases instead of EBHE jamming 6 movies onto 2 discs. Now if they'd only stop using that ugly first time on blu-ray logo.

I was expecting this to come out sometime down the line. I'm interested to see it again but i wouldn't pay more than $10 for it.

I'd be more excited if it were coming from any entity but Echo Bridge. They can't seem to dig up any new HD masters for the '90s Miramax films they've licensed and thus look pathetic.

Basically, Kevin WANTED to keep his "Last Summer" franchise going with another Lois Duncan teen bestseller, but Duncan turned his adaptation down (as she blew the whistle in an a critic interview), so Kevin bluffed a plagiarism, took out the suspense, spun alibis in interviews about "the teacher he had in high school" and turned it into a lame and very intentional Heathers knockoff, missing the point of the book completely.

Duncan's original "Killing Mr. Griffin" is a good straight 70's-golden-age teen paperback thriller (oh, I was hooked on her stuff in high school ), but Williamson's tired black-camp-attempt alibi plays like that line from Quiz Show: "You cheated? That's like plagiarizing a comic book!"

Same. I'll just wait and see how this one turns out. Hopefully it'll be a good release like The Faculty was.

Finally, I can replace my DVD and watch in HD. Great cast and brings me back to my HS days when I had tough teachers.

very surprising that Helen Mirren is nowhere on the poster, given how famous she is!

Absolutely LOVE this movie!! I actually bought a used DVD copy from Hastings that just arrived yesterday. As much as I always loved this movie I never upgraded it from VHS!! Will definitely buy this on blu when it comes out.
