That was extremely fast. I saw this last night in XD 3D and it was just pure over-the-top gory fun. Jeremy and Gemma had great chemistry and the 'witch hunting' scenes were lots of fun and very well shot. Great CGI, story, characters and cast. If you know what you're getting into you'll have a great time with this film. Gemma Arterton was IMO the true standout and I hope she gets more work off of this film. And Famke Janssen gives an excellent performance even if she is slightly under-used. 3D was alright, but could've been better. And Edward the Troll is officially my favorite Troll in film history.

7/10 would be my rating and I'll be picking the Blu-ray up Day 1.

I thought this was an awesome movie -- very fun, very campy, it never took itself seriously. I'll consider buying this!

day one for the 3d version. i just saw this in 3d at the theater yesterday and the 3d was quite impressive. they did show the 4 minute preview for GJ Joe before the movie and the 3d was very awesome in the gi joe preview. i really liked hansel and gretel i kinda hope that they do a sequel to this in the future.

I'll be blind buying the 3D version for sure. Was tempted to see this in the theater, but I'll likely just wait for the Blu-ray. Despite the abysmal reviews, this has always looked like something that will work for me.

Default Hansel & Gretel - Multi-region?

Hi guys,

As the title suggests, does anyone know if Hansel & Gretel is multi-region? We've not even had it at the cinema yet in the UK and $27 for a 3D blu ray is good value!!

Thanks,
Richard.

You're talking about "Witch Hunters"? The title hasn't even been announced for BD yet. You shouldn't even be asking yet about region free status at this point...

this film has to be the poster child for the worst piece of sh%t modern Hollywood has yet come up with.
and that's saying something.

Look closely as there is already a knock-off Hansel and Gretel film out from Asylum on dvd and bd in the US. It is not the big budget film that just opened in theaters (that one technically has the subtitle "Witch Hunters"), but a cheap trick to separate you and your cash by making you think it is. This is the same company that put out "Transmorphers" when Transformers opened, and Snakes on a Train when Snakes on a Plane opened. 90% of their output sucks, rent first! I'd bet it is multi-region though, can't see them bothering with region locks when they can't bother with original ideas, decent actors or plot. That was somewhat low, sorry Asylum, I have liked a couple of your films, but have hated dozens.
