I actually wasn't even looking to buy one but the store I work at is getting rid of our major electronics and since this stand fell under the major appliances it was discounted it's just that no one knew how much. We are getting in stock from the other stores in our company since we're a consolidation store. In the 4 years that I've been there I never even seen one on the sales floor. So the Major Appliances manager comes back to the dock and asked me and another guy to bring it out to the floor and he went to make a sales tag for it. Came back before we got it out to the floor and said anyone want to buy a TV stand I said how much and he said $0.98. Before I even thought about I just said yes. This thing is huge and I don't even know how I'm going to fit it but that's tomorrows project. It's built for a older style TV but I have a plan for the cutout in the middle.

As for the Clone Wars the Second Season started out great can't wait to watch the rest.

That's a nice looking stand! You could probably have a piece cut to fit that space and place your own set there. Excellent score!

I was thinking the same thing. You could make a cardboard template of that cutout. Measure the depth and fill it with a piece of nice plywood. Then paint it to match and Bob's your uncle.
That thing is nice especially the price.

Or stain the wood for a contrasting finish. If you have a stone mason's yard or an obliging kitchen/bathroom fitter in your area you might be able to score a cheap offcut of marble or granite and have it cut to shape and polished

It looks like the shape of my old Sony CRT, how old is that stand? I agree it looks sharp and there are some good ideas on how to fill in the cut out.

Got the stand set up today and took a pic. I still don't know what I'm going to do with the center section but I might just leave it like it is as it looks kind of cool empty.

Also got my Babydoll in from sideshow so I'll be throwing some pics of her up in my other thread.

Nice bro, Love that show.
The Bad news is http://www.theforce.net has the story on there that talks about Disney completely dismantling the Clone Wars team. This sucks. Now I'm really pissed at Disney. They have stuff for season 6 that we might not see. Filoni talked about upcoming stuff but who knows now. It's all up in the air.
Thanks a bunch Disney.....Way to screw up a great thing.

We will see those episodes eventually whether it be on TV, internet, or BD. It does suck that the team that put together TCW won't be the same team that will bring us anything new with Disney. Still, I have hopes. Hopefully Filoni is still on.

Yeah, I hope so too. I met Filoni at the 501st bash during CVI. Great guy because first and foremost he's a fan. He did a great thing with Clone Wars. Kinda makes me a little sad at what Disney is doing

In the video where he announced the end of TCW, he seemed very optimistic that there was still more to come. I really want to see the full episode of that clip that's at the end of the video.

Yeah me too. But now that Disney has tore apart the Clone Wars team, who knows. It's eveident to me now that Disney has no love for Star Wars and that they were looking at it like a meal ticket. I wonder if George is kicking himself now. The new game Star Wars 1313 that was coming has apparently been killed as well. Disney is clueless at this point. They have pissed a lot of us off.
