United Kingdom Pusher (2012) February 11, 2013

Distributor: Momentum Pictures
Slipcover: Yes
Release date: 11th February, 2013

Pusher tells the story of a week in the life of Frank, a big time drug pusher in London. Frankís life is a fun-filled roller-coaster of a ride that soon spins out of control. Friendships start to vanish, there is no longer room for love within his life, and violence takes over. Danger and chaos are all around and he becomes a man trapped in his own world. Eventually Frank is left with no one to turn to and nowhere to go, becoming a man paralysed with the fear of knowing there is no way of preventing his inevitable fate.

Pusher is a 2012 British crime thriller film directed by Luis Prieto. It is an English-language remake of Nicolas Winding Refn's ('Drive') 1996 film of the same name. The film stars Richard Coyle, Agyness Deyn, Bronson Webb, and Paul Kaye. Refn takes on the role of executive producer, with Rupert Preston of Vertigo Films and Chris Simon and Felix Vossen of Embargo Films producing.

What a cheap marketing ploy "From the director of Drive" he's only the executive producer (plus made the original).
Remaining Films of 2014 I'll check out: Horrible Bosses 2. Men, Women and Children. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Dumb and Dumber To. Exodus: Gods and Kings. Big Eyes. Unbroken.
Best Films of the Year so far: Boyhood. Calvary. Mr. Turner. Mommy. Frank. Godzilla. Nightcrawler. Gone Girl. Interstellar. The Raid 2. The Rover. The LEGO Movie. Under the Skin.

Has anyone seen the Pusher Blu-ray in any of the supermarkets this week, and for how much, or is Pusher yet another title which no one is bothering to stock on BD?

Whoever cast Richard Coyle, who reminds me of a low-rent Andy Serkis, needs a slap.

Pure shite.

Not as good as the original, but pretty good regardless. It's much better than the mockney trailer made it look.
