I've been there!!! It was kinda nice actually. The people were pretty polite.
I went to this one club though where all the girls looked EXACTLY the same.
Slightly frightening, but I'd never judge a place by one club experience.

I also vaguely remember playing Street FighterII in a bar with blonde cougar lady dancing naked in the middle of the place!?!?

Odd...I liked it though. I caught the slightest glimpse of the Norther Lights while I was there.
HAHA! Sounds like a positive Winnipeg experience. How long ago was your visit? If you were playing SFII in a strip club, I assume it was a while back.

If you can leave the lights of the city behind, the Northern Lights are plentiful at times.

Default Woo Hoo!

Winnipeg was great short trip from the Forks. It's not shops day trip from Minot though.

Anyway, I finally beat that stupid leviathan. It's not that hard once you figure out the timing. I'm actually again excited to get back to playing. I've been frozen at this spot since May, not having any time, then getting rusty at the controls. I'm leaving the area with 4 shots left for the line gun. Plasma cutter is empty. I think I'm screwed.

You'll be fine dude.

Once pu$$y face is dead, it's just bad dudes here and there.

Nothing a good line gunner can't handle.

Are you out of money too!?!?
Never underestimate the importance of buying ammo.

The leviathin is actually really easy if you catch the things he throws at you and then throw them back. Then you just have to fire a few shots to hack the limbs off so you shouldn't need much ammo

I didn't even have to buy ammo on my Impossible or One Gun run. The key is ammo conservation true Resident Evil style. Run past mobs you don't "have" to kill and make every shot count.

Congrats but ouch on the ammo situation. Did you pickup EVERYTHING in the Leviathan room? Even if you don't need it, sell it. Also, do you have extra medpacks laying around you don't think you'll need? You can sell those and buy power nodes to upgrade your weapons. But never sell a Large Medpack unless you have a ton of them since those come in handy later when you have an upgraded RIG. Upgraded weapons save ammo and not to mention your life. Also sell all the ammo for weapons you dont have/use.

Yeah, but he apparently doesn't have that key, so I offered another option.

Indeed, I have not that key! My lack of ammunition has little to do with Leviathan. It comes from being a poor shot prior to that. The weird thing is, though, When I took a break from playing a couple of months ago, I thought that area was loaded with ammo. Now I found only three or four med packs. Such are things. I'll get by.

I had an American version of this game, finished it then sold it. If I were to buy a UK version of this game would my save game work or would it not be recognised by the UK game? Any help would be great.

I'm on my way to my first platinum...but I have to go for the One Gun on Impossible to get it done...any tips? I've made it through Chapter 1, but know it isn't going to be easy. Wondering if it will take less time to do One Gun on Easy, and then try Impossible with Military Suit and more hardware...

Of course, as I read through the postings I see that I can do One Gun on a + runthrough...meaning I could start my run with the military suit - right?

Yes, I did One Gun on my New Game +.

That said, it is possible to do One Gun on Impossible. Just a few sections will be a real bastard. I guess it just depends on how frustrating you find Impossible mode. The advantage to doing One Gun is that all your money goes into upgrading just one weapon. Also, the plasma cutter is the best weapon overall anyway. The best tip is simply to upgrade your plasma cutter damage as fast as you can.

Yeah man, you can swap suits anytime.

The only thing is (with normal suits) you can never go DOWN a number and once you get into downloaded suits, you can't go back to the regular ones.

Just go to the store, grab a suit and pay 0 for it. It will treat the switch like a normal transaction.

Default Shake-offs and power nodes

During combat, when a mutant gets on you, and you see the (x) sign for a shake off, do you hold down the (x) or do you hit it repeatedly?

Just out of curiosity, do you often purchase power nodes? Since you occasionally need one to power open a door, you would severly limit your bench activity without buying them.

TAP X like crazy.

Power nodes are iffey in your first playthrough, because if you are not going to download a suit from PSN, you will need most of your credits for suits.. Generally there will always be a power node available to you SOMEWHERE around a power node door and I recommend opening all those doors because you will come upon gold and ruby semi-conductors which will yield more cash.

There isn't too much to worry about with nodes in your first run, assuming your first run is on normal. Concentrate on your suits HP. Don't worry about O2 so much. Stasis is not critical and by the time you get to a point where it would be really useful to have a guy frozen for two minutes, you will be so good, you won't need it.

As far as your guns, focus on damage and a little more capacity. Reload times are nice, but they won't make you or break you at any point in the game.
