I've been using it for several months now. It's a big step up from the regular HD stream.

Hey Mifune, is that under the manage video quality button in account? I have mine set at the best level there. As long as I watch them and Prime through my BD player I have no complaints. I don't think the 360 app gave me the best picture. I definitely noticed a difference when I upgraded to BD.
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?

I think it automatically switches to Super HD when I use it on my PS3. You can see the quality on the PS3 by hitting the select button, not sure if there's a similar way to check on other devices. It doesn't look like the 360 has Super HD support, so that could be why it didn't look as good.

Not seeing the select button my Sony remote, but I'll look at options next time I'm on later. While it may not be BD quality to the hardcore fans it suits our needs. I'm actually considering adding Hulu+ to it and Prime. Even with the added cost, much cheaper than digital cable in the end.

I noticed my account now says super HD, I thought it was already super HD but I guess not. Is there a difference between HD and super HD?

Oscar's Oasis is in 3D. Great show for 6-10 year olds. I haven't tested it since Super HD became available though.

Am I alone here, or does the PQ of Super HD content look dang near as good as Blu-ray? If they could eventually get 7.1 to be streamed as well (it's inevitable with "Ultra HD" 4K streaming coming) and continue to expand the library, could you see this as a huge threat to Blu-ray? I just watched The Avengers in Super HD and was blown away. If I saw the Blu-ray version right next to it, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

The inner-collector inside of me wants to say NO WAY! However, my wallet wants to say yes. With how many Blu-rays I buy, if I lived just off Netflix for films/TV, I would save an immense amount of $. The release gap between Blu-ray releases vs. the time they hit Netflix used to be a big point of contention, but S3 of The Walking Dead is already on Netflix, so I think it's safe to say that the gap is shrinking.

It depends on the movie, but I've seen instances that have looked close to BD. I'd say at the very least it was on par with Vudu's HDX, which I consider to have one of the best streaming quality outputs out there (again, depending on the movie). I don't think the avg. person could tell the difference, or even care for that matter. I'm sure videophiles (and arm-chair experts) will say there's huge difference though.

Oh you know it Mifune. I finally saw the Super HD on my Sony player BTW What kind of blows me away is every time something is announced on their Facebook page folks immediately ask for some other season or movie to be added to the streaming. I don't know if it is immaturity or inexperience or lack of shows and movies on their que or what?
