this is one movie where I'll wait and see if an extended cut will materialize - don't like the rhythm of the theatrical cut.

Isn't an Extended cut a forgone conclusion? It won't be announced until a much later date, but the actors have already been talking about some of their scenes to possibly be included in an extended cut. All four LOTR/Hobbit films released thus far have had extended editions, so I think it will "materialize".

That's the U.K. artwork. I assume your source is The Digital Bits right?

actually no, I pulled it from a random search and then spotted it on the digital bits.

and yes we can expect an extended cut most likely in November prior to There and Back Again's theatrical release.

Does it really matter? The images are definitely from Digital Bits. Whether he found them directly there, or by a random google search doesn't matter. The set will likely be released in March, just like AUJ, and the artwork will likely be similar if not identical

I'm merely stating the fact that those covers are not official US artwork. That's all. Also, I'm sure that the info came straight from TDB, as opposed to "random search" as he claims. But that's another story. Anywho, good movie. Day one purchase for me.

If they do I'll definitely jump on that. Not a fan of the LOTR/Hobbit, but for some reason I really wanna watch this one. Plus I got the first one for free.

Great movie. I plan on getting this, and eventually getting the extended cut set whenever it comes out.

I guess I'll get the extended edition. I liked this but even as amazing as Smaug was, it was looooong.
