Amazon.com is having people vote on which products they would like to have for amazing discounts on! In Round 4: Go High Def they have the Sony BD-P1400, Toshiba HD-A35 and a Tivo to vote on. Currently the Toshiba HD DVD player is winning but if you guys jump on this we could get the Blu-ray player for $149!!!

Whichever product wins they will randomly pick people who voted to buy it for that price!!

I thought at first this one some 3rd party company or a gadget site putting yet another silly vote on BD vs. HDDVD.

This is actually Amazon tallying the votes on this site, and this can determine the price of the most Voted merch, where Amazon would be willing to offer the PS3 for $129 and the Samsung BD player for $149 - to the Amazon users who voted for it - Further more this can help spread the word on Bluray to new adopters when they see Bluray is more favorable in the votes - Currentlly Toshiba's 1080P HDDVD player is beating Samsung 46% ot 25%. We have more than 12,000 users on this forum, lets get everyone to log in to Amazon and vote!

You know, that's sad if there are people who won't vote for a $14 HD-DVD player. I know you made a typo, but I still found that funny, and that may be how the war turns in the end, is that even on a $14 super-sale, people don't want it.

It says 149 for the HD-DVD player, not 14. If it did say 14 earlier, then that is why it has so many votes!
