Shooter

I have been looking for this title and I have been unsuccessful, I know its out of print in BD so I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Amazon has copies in their Marketplace for sale around $70 +. Ebay has only two for sale right now, but like all of us I wanted a good deal. Anyone know of a good source?

it might be possible to rent it from blockbuster and buy it from them as a month late title, you' have to ask them to make sure, but I think that's what I was told, when I got my blockbuster card, I've never tried it myself (I hate renting and not returning it on time ) if this post is violating any rules please feel free to delete it, I wasn't sure if this consistuted advertising.

i didn't actually think of this, but you CAN do this. i have done it a couple, actually. i got speed for 24.99, and phone booth for 24.99. Considering both are 27.99 on amazon, this was a deal i couldn't pass up, because i love those movies. you also have to consider the instore blu rays at blockbuster aren't rented too often, so they are like new.

note: some blu rays are 34.99 to buy at blockbuster in this fashion. however, since shooter is IMPOSSIBLE to find, this isn't that bad. do it, all of my blockbusters have shooter blu ray so yours should to.

also, if you need those blu cases, which BlockB doesn't have, just get a 3-pack online for a few bucks.

Out of print or not, the movie isn't worth $50-$100.

It's a decent movie, but come on. I'd go around $35 for it tops.

I always look for it when I go to the store. No luck so far.

Be careful. If it's O-P they may charge an arm and a leg for it.

Found one of these at a Suncoast Video in Gaithersburg, MD six days ago (Nov 12th). Paid $40 for it. They are out there, but getting more scarce by the day, that's why people are charging an arm and a leg for it on amazon. Honestly, I couldn't believe I found it!

You may want to ask someone here to purchase it for you at a store that has one, then send them a check for the purchase price/shipping. I've seen a lot of stores in the Atlanta area that still have Shooter, I'm sure someone would be willing to help you out.

Paramount was paid $50 million dollars to stop supporting Blu-ray, and that included not manufacturing any more of the released titles.

I'm sure Shooter is available in some places, but it's starting to get very rare as a new sealed product, and starting to sell on eBay for a substantial premium.

I heard about the $50 million deal, but I didn't know that would kill the current titles. Hey, what's a format war without casualties, huh? It least we've got the Disney juggernaut, and Spielberg on this side.

Futureshop.ca has 1 copy left you can order from there if you are fast enough and it's reasonibly priced. That's where I got my copy.

you can still find Shooter as well as many other Paramount blu rays in some stores still and online(eBay).

Most of Paramount's titles are easy to find but "The Shooter" seems to be getting a bit rare. The only Paramount Blu-ray title I am missing is "Hustle and Flow." I may go ahead and grab that one if I see it.
