Default Coming To America - Blu-ray

While browsing through a local grocery's blu-ray section, I noticed that they had Eddie Murphy's Coming to America on blu-ray for $29.99. They only had one copy in stock and upon turning it around, I noticed it was a Paramount release that is still lingering around. If anyone is interested let me know and I can go and snatch it for you
Without Blu-ray, your HDTV is just a TV.

Good thing I got it before that deal with HD-DVD went down. Got that and Trading Places when they first came out on blu-ray. Love Coming to America. Too many funny quotes to use.

Yeah, I snatched up a copy of "Coming to America" on Blu Ray too. I still plan on picking up "Trading Places" as well. I usually see these titles available at Borders.

Its kind of funny. I just watched this on Blu for the first time this morning. I bought back when Paramount switched loyalties.

I am going to import this at some stage,there was a double pack that included Trading Places but that doesn't seem to be available any more as that will probably be another addition.
Film=Priority,Packaging=Not really bothered.

This thread is back from the dead.

Maybe I'll watch coming to America tonight if the power does not go out.

I worked at a theater as a teen when that movie was released. Still remember people coming to see it with dates.

Ok.

I worked in an AMC multiplex in Miami and people would come Friday night with hotties barely dressed. That's what I still remember ... And I always will.

My manager commented you can see the underwear below the skirts,... Which of course was true.

Good times,

Guess those hotties are 50 now..

Ok I'm depressed.

Can anyone confirm if the non-USA releases still use the same text? I want to get a foreign release, because they have the lossless audio tracks, but if the marquees and other hard-encoded text is changed from the original English, I won't bother.

If burned-in subtitles and relevant on-screen text is in English.
