Quote:
A story about life, love and loss, Steven Spielberg directs Always, a heart-warming romantic adventure that USA Today calls “a winner”. After sacrificing himself to save a friend (John Goodman), a daredevil firefighting pilot (Richard Dreyfuss) returns to earth to help his surviving girlfriend (Holly Hunter) move on with her life. Breathtaking cinematography and exhilarating aerial choreography highlight this compelling adventure that features a special appearance by Audrey Hepburn.

I belive this is my favorite Spielberg film, when Dreyfus breaks down always gets to me, an am a mans man!! And I always wondered why this one flopped but the following year Ghost (1990) was a smash and the following year Truly Madly Deeply (1991) was a critical success. And all three have the same story at its core.

It's about time, this is one of Spielberg's most underrated movies. Day one buy for me.
My most wanted blu-rays: 1. Bringing Up Baby (1938) 2. Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) 3. Dead Presidents (1995) 4. The Blue Dahlia (1946) 5. Criss Cross (1949) 6. Gaslight (1944) 7. Dangerous Minds (1995) 8. This Gun For Hire (1942) 9.Roman Holiday (1953) 10. Beavis and Butthead: Do America (1995) 11. Above the Rim (1993)

Default Spielberg boxed set

It might be cheaper to buy the boxed set. I saw it used at Buy Backs for 74.99. They had quite a few available.

Awesome! Was worried that the only way to get this was with the box set. I've been wanting to see this for years, for some reason I never got around to watching it when it was released.

I just caught this on one of the movie channels a couple of weeks ago and that HD transfer looked really nice. It has always been one of my favorite films and have been happy with the dvd version from so many years ago. It's a criminally underrated film and it's nice to see it finally getting a proper blu release (it's about blasted time). I can't wait to pick this up and see those beautiful A-26s in a nice HD.

Loved this movie as a kid. Not sure I want to own it, but the nostalgia pull is strong.

If you haven't own all the previously released titles that would be cheaper. I already own tin box of the Jurassic Park trilogy, digibooks of Jaws and E.T. the Extra Terrestrial and others. So I've been waiting for this individual release, and I'm sure the price will get cheaper by May.
Too much nostalgia interrupts progress. Looking forward to something new.

My least favorite Spielberg film, maybe edged out by Crystal Skull. I'd have to do an A-B comparison. Amazing score by John Williams, though...as usual. This movie is just all over the map...one moment it's tipping the hat to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, operating in some sort of Capra-esque idealized reality, the next it is deathly serious and violent, then unconvincing in convoluted transitions...I just don't get what happened here.
