Default SVS PB-1000 or RBH I-12

I've decided to get rid of my eD A2-300, and my wife is letting me spend a max of $500 dollars on a sub. So which is the better deal between these 2 subs? I know that the RBH sub is better looking, but I'm more concerned about performance. Also, the reviews of the SVS are quite positive, where there aren't many reviews for the RBH sub.
Thanks in advance!

I don't think you are going to find reviews on EMP-Tek(and yes, lately RBH has blurred the line on what is RBH vs what is EMP-Tek).

I know the "actual RBH version"(sx 12) sounds good...as I've heard it.

I've got a buddy with a PB-1000 and it sounds pretty darn good in his place.

I'm an SVS advocate though, so I may be biased.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. But I like my PB1000 and you can give one (not mine) a whirl for 45 days risk free.

The SVS PB-1000 sounds like a good sub to me. I guess the reason I haven't chose it over the RBH sub is, I read on AVSforum that a guy owns both the RBH sub and a SVS PB12-NSD and the two subs are very close in performance. But at the same time the SVS has a better warranty.
