Default HSM2 vs Hairspray

I thought HSM2 was superior to Hairspray in every way, including PQ and music.

Do you fit the PS3 stereotype?

Trying to allow you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he either enjoys musicals, has children, or both? I know *I* do.

I wonder if those who have expressed their disagreement with my opinion in such interesting ways have actually seen both of these? For those who have, do you really think the music in Hairspray is enjoyable?

I haven't seen HSM2 but the songs in Hairspray just didn't stick with me the way, say the songs in Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, or Paint Your Wagon do. Yes, I like musicals .

I liked it a lot, IMHO it has far better music and is a better film than HSM2.

HSM is what it is

Throwaway crap for Disney Channel designed to sell lunchboxes. If you enjoy it, go into the HT and crank it.

While Hairspray could have been a little better in terms of songs, it's far better put together film/play/film, and still far superior to anything that HSM slapped together.. People of all ages enjoy it. They don't enjoy HSM past about 16.

I have seen neither (just came in here because I bought Hairspray but not sure what to do about HSM2). That being said seeing Jesus Christ Superstar, mentioned I would love it on BD but unfortunately it is Universal.

Haven't seen HSM2, but I immensely enjoyed Hairspray as well as HSM1. (HSM1&2 were filmed very close to where I live.)
Cheers,
- Jake =)

I haven't seen HSM1 yet but have now ordered the DVD and am very much looking forward to it. The landscape in HSM2 was spectacular!

it's not about age. I am over 20, and still enjoying Disney cartoon (Donald duck, etc). HSM2 is superior IMO

hsm 1 was a better movie that part 2, i liked both though, but i think hairspray is a better overall movie than hsm 2, but i like the music in all of them

and i am 17, problem is not many people would admit to liking hsm, frankly i dont really care, i think movies and music are two things you cant really judge people on.

Musicals are not the place to go for great acting. That said, which actors did you have a problem with?

i withdraw my comments about the acting, looking back at the broadcast, it was on the dvr, it was that for some reason the audio was out of sync and made it look weird, lol
