I've been pining for this release for ages. It was rumored to be released by Criterion via cartoon clue which never panned out. Who knows, they may still release it since they have a deal with Warner Bros.

Maybe Scorsese has been too busy to help out with any extras and they're waiting for his schedule to clear up? Just a thought, or maybe delusion stemmed from my desperate need for After Hours in the Criterion Collection.

I think when these Criterion rumours first started, someone mentioned that he was involved with the remastering and it's completed. I don't care if they just port over the old extras, just release the damn thing! Also, it's a crime that Scorsese The Age of Innocence hasn't been released either.

How long ago were the Criterion rumors? I'm shocked After Hours still hasn't even gotten a standard Blu-ray release. Hard to believe any Scorsese film isn't on Blu. Bringing Out the Dead is another one that deserves Blu

It's pretty hard to believe this hasn't been released yet. Hopefully Warner Archive, or Criterion can get it out this year.

Now that the very similar Into The Night has been released on Blu, there's no reason why this has not.

Agreed, they'd make for a great double feature. After Hours is one of my most wanted titles...

I just watched this for my first time yesterday. This is a good movie. I don’t know how I’ve missed out on this Scorsese film. I thought for sure this would be out on blu-ray. I guess I’ll add it to my wishlist.

Well, yeah, there's lots of reasons. Proper scan/master, Night is Universal and Hours is Warner, different companies )not to mention Universal didn't even release Night, they sub-licensed it to Shout), different rights, different release schedules.

Comparing X to Y when they actually have zero relation to each other is silly, and people should know better by now.
