Italian: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0
English: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0
Italian: Dolby Digital 2.0
English: Dolby Digital 2.0

Italian or Italian SDH subtitles, forced on the English track.

Amazon's customer service told me by email that subtitles are optional, but I just received an email from Cecchi Gori informing me that Italian subtitles are forced on the English track and optional on the Italian track. I believe CG on this one.

In the same email CG informed me that the Dario Argento autograph is authentic. Davide Pulici at Nocturno Cinema also sent me a nice email, stating:
Quote:
The cards have been signed one by one by Argento.

I'm sure I checked this out yesterday on Amazon Italy and there's no mention of English audio.
Fortunately my Bluray player can remove forced subs but their presence does devalue any future resale value

There's still no mention of English audio on Amazon, but as I mentioned, Cecchi Gori emailed me about the subs issue. Also, here's the specs on CG's site:

http://www.cgentertainment.it/film-d...-grigio/f6614/

We can see the audio specs on the back cover on the BD edition on Amazon too.

You must mean same scan?

The latest Koch mediabook has the same cover as the new BD release in Italy. I noticed that.

I've seen no info stating that the latest German release (which came out in September) uses the new integral 2K telecine scan that is out in Italy since this week.

I have the older Koch release (released July 2012)

Do you have info that the latest koch release uses the new scan. Do you have screen captures?

Thanks.

The importance of the INTEGRAL telecine scan is that those famous 40 seconds won't be taken from lower quality elements for the Italian blu ray. My Koch mediabook has those 40 seconds, but in lower quality.

Thank you very much for posting this

Your post put doubts in my head, and finally I came across an Italian forum that said the Italian disc uses the koch master. In the same forum, somebody posted a link to a clip from the Italian BD. There is the same drop in quality as my Koch disc (I just compared the two).

http://video.repubblica.it/spettacol.../259266/259567

I was happy to pay 70 euros for a new scan with forced Italian subs, the book etc and a genuine Argento autograph. As it stands, I cancelled my order.

I was wondering why Davide Pulici, who had been quick to respond to my enquiries beforehand still hasn't replied to my enquiry as to whether the Italian disc uses the Koch master. Now I know why

Screw this marketing crap. Bill Hicks has always been right.

BOTH Davide Pulici who worked on this project, and Cecchi Gori told me Italian subs are forced on the English track.

thanks, i read that before, but i wanna hear a first-hand experience, probably they are "forced" if you choose the language track in the menu, but removable with button on remote control? who knows, i've seen this situation before...

The Cecchi Gorri promo clip is now up on youtube.

Gotta love that NEW INTEGRAL telecine scan, which is exactly the same as the Koch release from 2012 (including the same dips in quality)

It's no wonder I've read on some Italian forum's that they're embarrassed about releases of movies over there (I'm specifically referring to this release and the Dawn of the Dead release).
