Default PLEASE, recommend me speakers and subwoo

Hello guys! Im writting because I really, really need your help about recommend me speakers ( I don't understand a lot about them so that's why I need help, sorry ).

OK, so I have this receiver :

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A1J7WSBJHTGUFA

and I'd like to upgrade all my old Sony speakers and subwoofer for new speakers, Klipsch brand preferred but I am open to other sugestions.

I would like to have a full dolby atmos system, so I need dolby atmos speakers, on a 7.1 set

Mostly I am lost about what dolby atmos speakers to get and how to place them.

The room is a medium sized room, ceiling is not flat, and my budget is around 5.000 to 7.000 dollars

Use will be 90% movies, 10% music.

Thanks so much in advance.

On the Dolby website their is all the possible configurations with ceiling down firing or up firing speaker that can be used for Atmos but the idea with up firing speaker is also to use ceiling as a point of reflection so if the ceiling is not flat the result maybe not as good as expected, but Klipsch offers a good variety of in ceiling speaker where you could place them as per Dolby At mos recommendations in 7.1.2 and or 5.1.2 configurations.

Here is the page for the recommended configs for Atmos. Then you choose which speaker you would like to use from Klipsch but the RFII

Look this is an god example of Klipsch setup

http://www.klipsch.ca/products/refer...1-4-in-ceiling
or that one with upfiring http://www.klipsch.ca/products/refer...-4-dolby-atmos.

Some fronts with built in atmos up firing that can be use as 7.1.2 or if you add 2 in ceiling in the back then you get 7.1.4, the more speaker the more precise Atmos becomes.

Thank you very much for your reply. So two atmos ceiling speakers are not enough? You recommend at least four?

It is enough for Atmos and it does not have to be in ceiling, you could by example get the Tower with embeded atmos speakers inside and then get 2 in ceiling so that make 4 atmos speakers plus center and 4 normal surrounds completes a 7.1.4 setup but you would technically have 9 speakers+1 sub.

Her is an example of 7.1.4 setup with Embeded up firing speaker in front towers and then for back Atmos you could use in-ceiling or none as it would remain Atmos but not sure how your ceiling would reflect the sound coming from your up firing towers.

2 like this

4 like this

2 like this

And center channel

There is many possibilities, 7.1.2 with rebular tower works too but that makes less speakers with less precision's technically but still Atmos. You could add the upfiring speaker later as a seperate on top of the regular towers

What you could start with is 7.1.2 config and see if you want to add the 2 back Atmos speakers later. Those later additions could either be in ceiling or upfiring sitting on top of either normal bookshelf of normal towers also.

So many possibilities with Atmos it's hard to choose from.

I was forgetting about the Sub, Klipsch makes good subs for their pricve point in general, what room size are you dealing with exactly in square footage?

Hi, I also have few questions about in Ceiling speakers. As I am planning to setup a home theater system with Yamaha speakers and also I want to add at least 6 in Ceiling speakers for better sound experience. Is that setup will works well with different brand speakers or I should choose the same brand?

My Home Theatre Speakers Model - http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio...20/?mode=model

For In-Ceiling speakers, I have Shortlisted - Bose Virtually Invisible and Klipsch R-1800-C!

Found them here - http://www.topreviewhut.com/best-in-ceiling-speakers/

Which setup will work well? Yamaha and Bose - Yamaha and Klipsch - Or any other suggestion?

Please help me.

I would say Yamaha and Yamaha would work best for you, the review you link to have their top 10 among what they have tested but their is much better out their but considering you current setup and budget I would stick with Yamaha which should provide the most seamless sound.

Number 4 among the review you have found retails only for 149$ a pair but currently available at 89 a pair on the yamaha website.

Carlos, Sorry for this late post but I noticed your receiver will only do Atmos in 7.1.2 or 5.1.4 up to you to choose which config you will choose but if you go to 5.1.4 then you only need 2 of those surround speakers.

if you go 7.1.2 then you either want to take a pair of those towers without in ceiling speakers or get normal towers with 2 in ceiling speakers.

Thanks BigAl87.

One question, what do you think works better with atmos, ceiling speakers or the columns with the built in atmos speakers?

Depends how your ceiling is, 8 foot ceiling the embeded and or atmos speaker sitting on top of speaker will do great but in ceiling or on ceiling should provide the best overall results IMO.

in or on ceiling speakers will give you the best. if you can't do those, then high wall mounted sat's aimed down at the MLP. lastly, the Dolby Module upfiring speakers.

my opinion of course, but, I do have all on-ceiling dual 4.5" woofer speakers in both of my setups and the sound is profound as is the affect of ATMOS/DTS:X on my movie watching experience!

best of luck, keep us posted and if you can, throw a picture or two up once your rolling!

No worries, most people will say blending surrounds is not as important as matching front 3 which is right but regardless staying within a brand is best most times and honestly all speakers should disappear during a movie. (figuratively speaking)

If some speakers stand out mor than other than it 's not good.

BigAl87 what do do you think about these ceiling speakers? Will they go ok with the rest of the Klipsch?

I would stick with Klipsch, A little more expensive as i think this is for 1 speaker but they are 8 inches also.
