Default Mighty Joe Young 1998

Any chance we see this come out on Blu-Ray? With Kong being pretty popular at the moment you think this would be a good time to strike. Maybe even a Disney Movie Club exclusive or something of that nature.

I wouldn't trade any physical part of my anatomy for this flick, but I'd be okay making a purchase through a retailer for it..

Haven't seen it for quite awhile now but remember always enjoying it. I'd probably buy it.

So realistically is there any chance an older title like this would get a release? Maybe a 20 year anniversary or something?

I just watched the original 1949 film the other day (for the first time, really great film) and it got me thinking about this remake. I'd definitely be down for another ape film. With Kong: Skull Island and War for the Planet of the Apes hitting blu later this year and A*P*E* 3D released recently, might as well put this one out too and really make it year of the Ape.

Indeed he was, and the DVD was not only non-anamorphic, but had a Dolby 5.1 track that was only 384kbps.

It did have a nice trailer, which featured an early, likely demo version of Horner's "Windsong" for the film.

Plus, Bill Paxton...dammit.

Thumbs up Mighty Joe Young, finally!

Sounds like you may only have to wait another month or so. Granted, it looks like it's gonna be a Disney Movie Club exclusive, which works just fine for those of us familiar with the club. DMC exclusives can run a little pricey on eBay though, if you don't want to enroll in DMC. Or, you could crash the DMC thread and ask another member for help.

Also, are there no mods in this sub-forum to merge the hundreds of duplicate threads in here? It seems every wish list thread has at least a couple others that already exist for the same movie. Not sure why they never just merge them together. Also, not sure why members don't ever do a quick search for their wishlist movie as a thread title in the forum before starting a new one...

Here's the other two Mighty Joe Young threads, if a mod does wander by and wants to merge this all together:

Disney's Mighty Joe Young.

Mighty Joe Young (Charlize Theron, 1998)
Collector of stuff...
