The release date had been moved from August 7 to August 28. Now, it's September 25. I have the U.S. Blue Underground BD, but I'm interested in what this one will offer. I just wish it would quit getting delayed.

Given their recent track record, I am curious if their "new restoration" looks better than the old BU disc.

So I am assuming that this has only one version of the film on? I was hoping that Arrow might get the rights to this and do a release with all three variations. The old cut with the alternative music looks like it's still only going to be available on vhs tape then

It's cut you don't see the whole.
Keep that in mind before you decide.

The film is cut? What's cut? Is the Blue Underground release cut?

Maybe they meant the artwork is cut? Maybe there's a flap and you see the head on its own?

The specs say "fully uncut".

Well, If it is the same noisy master as the BU one, then I'll stick with BU release.

English rebuilds... what exactly does this mean?

They specifically said it wasn't, earlier in this thread. Just given their last 4 or 5 releases, I bet it will look just as bad or worse. Or it will be a better master destroyed by compression. They need to start doing something about it like BU has.

English rebuilds... what exactly does this mean?
sounds like the fixed some Italian to English

the Shameless DVD was the Original Italian Version
with English audio track, with some of the scenes in Italian only and with optional English subtitles for these scenes.

BU had both Italian (92:59) and English Version (90:06)

- The original Italian cut. In this version, the first scene of the movie is the group sex scene, featuring Italian credits and with the main title theme music. This is followed by the art lecture scene (a lesson about the Perugino by the professor John Richardson).
- The English export cut. In this version, the first scene of the movie is the group sex scene, featuring English credits and with the main title theme music. This is followed by the conclusion of the lecture scene, since is was never dubbed into English.

- The US theatrical cut. In this version, some of the marshland murder was used as a teaser opening sequence scored with some very familiar seventies library music (guitar sting at the end), with the shortened credits appearing over this sequence. The group sex scene unfolded just after, without credits, and once again with different music. This was then followed by the professor dismissing class after the lecture. Some of the gore and brief dialogue was also edited later in the film.

Will be interesting to see what they have put together.
I see in their specs it states 93 minutes run time.

I'm unclear whether this version is different from the BU version? I am guessing the runtime difference from the DVD is just to account for the difference from PAL, but I'm just an idiot. The "most uncut anywhere in the world" could still mean "exactly as uncut as the BU version" and it would still be accurate!

That is some of the worst non-photoshop-job cover art I've ever seen, haha.
