Not one I'd buy but if it was a 2 pack with House of 1000 Corpses I'd consider it

That doesn't make any sense. You don't want it, but you'd be happy to pay more if it were a two pack...

Any possibility we can get this thread renamed from Devel's to Devil's?

I'm in the mind set of if the double pack was a budget title eg. $15 so it DOES make sense 😉

I was contacted about this recently by a rep from Umbrella who sent me a copy thinking it was fixed, but it was the same disc again. I received an apology and was advised that it would be fixed with the next pressing but still no ETA at this stage.

Did they dump the commentary or just forget to list it was on there? Not encouraging.

Anyone know if this is the Director's Cut? If it is it is probably the best version available. The US version lacks lossless sound and has a mpeg2 encode and the German version has something wrong with the audio.

Yeah, unrated cut. Shame it doesn't have the documentary from the UK edition, which also has mpeg-2 video and far worse lossy audio.

Yeah I don't know what exactly but something was up with it while it plays. Also the pic quality wasn't so great. I should have been easy to beat a mpeg-2 2006 Lionsgate encode but it didn't. https://www.caps-a-holic.com/c.php?g...=28912&i=0&l=0

German BD apparently has an extremely noticeable warbly echo on some of the dialogue.

Those screencaps look like the same master with DNR applied to the German one.

I'd really love to see how Embrella Entertainment's encode compares to Lionsgate's 2006 MPEG2 release. In theory Embrella's new AVC encode should be better they aren't exactly known for their good encodes.

Sure but worse than a 2006 MPEG-2 from Lionsgate? As long as they don't screw with it with DNR then it should be fine. Having a lossless 6.1 track will be nice finally.
