Great thread, though I am a bit surprised to see The Nesting included. Granted, it's been a while since I have seen it, but I remember it as more of a haunted house thing than a slasher?

Do those listings mention a bonus disc? There was a 500 copy Limited Edition that came with a bonus DVD-R with the original workprint. It was sold exclusively on Synapse's site and is long gone at this point.

The standard edition is readily available on US based sites for under $20.00.

I doubt it has anything to do with the bonus disc.

Intruder wasn't released on blu ray in the UK and there's seemingly a market for it: hence the prices some are trying to charge. Those sellers are just trying to get a premium from UK customers who don't know how to import. Don't fall for it - buy it from the US Amazon site. It's only like $17 right now.

Is Basket Case considered a slasher? I've never seen it but I saw it mentioned on an 80's slashers list earlier.

I don't usually think of it as a slasher, but it does fit most of the characteristics of one.

Neither would be considered an 80's slasher.

I would consider it. Especially because The Exterminator is on the list.

I own the following:

The Stepfather '87 Bluray
Friday the 13th Box Set Bluray
Nightmare on Elm Street Box Set Bluray
Halloween 2 Bluray
Halloween 4 Bluray
Child's Play Bluray

------

I will be buying the Slumber Party Massacre in 2014.

Aside from that, there's not much else left I want except for one thing... Halloween 6 Producer's Cut -- but, I'll save that for the 90's thread.

I might want April Fool's Day '86

------

About half of what I used to like years ago I don't like anymore. I still do like the ones above that I own.

What I am hoping for is a resurgence of good horror slashers in the coming years. I hated the 90's era and the 00's era wasn't much better.
