I received a shipping notice on Thursday (Nov 30) but the order page still shows that it is waiting for the post office to pick it up. Doubt I am going to get it on release date. Of course they could have shipped it through UPS I would never get it at all so I got to be patient I guess.

I wonder if the US does get an amray case release if it will drop the bonus discs like the original set did?

I just hope mine arrives in good condition. I already have a regular 8 disc case ready for the discs to go in.

Although if you enjoy Lynch and Badalamenti's music for Twin Peaks, it's a steal at $9.90.

FYI, these are all of the officially released soundtracks for Twin Peaks:

313 tracks—212 of which are included in The Twin Peaks Archive—totaling nearly 16 hours (15:59:30 according to my iTunes) of material.
If anyone's interested, I've been sorting the Twin Peaks Archive releases into my own custom albums for listening ease. They're roughly 15 - 20 tracks a piece, and I've been creating my own (paltry) album art to accompany them.

I can hook anyone that's interested up with the covers I've got so far - just gimme a shout. I'd post previews here, but I haven't finished transferring the stuff from my old laptop yet.

I was pleasantly surprised to have received mine from Bull Moose yesterday. That said, I'll be extremely diplomatic and say that the packaging is not my cup of tea. Pictures below (apologies for the overhead lamp glare on some of them).

My plan is the same as BluProofie's: to take an 8-disc Viva Elite case, put the discs in that and then create a cover for the case.

Any chance we could get a pic of it next to a regular Blu or two? I've been having trouble working out the size from everything we've seen so far.

This new series' case is very, very slightly larger than the slipbox that holds the 10-disc case for the original series set (for the original series, I have the UK edition with "FWWM").

Hope that helps.

Wow, that is a novel idea. Pay for it. Yeah, I was just going to snap my fingers, and it'd just magically appear in my house. I suppose the part where I said I was gonna BUY it for my father, made you think I wasn't gonna do so. And I suppose the thought that a lot of the shows these days, on DVD, with more episodes than this one, are less than $40, made me a bit hopefull that this one would at least do the same. I never expected it to be free, but not only 1 dollar less than the blu-ray.

My (paid for! ) copy has shipped, but a few days later no tracking updates have appeared online.

This situation is unacceptably Dougie.

I cannot wait until Tuesday. I'm not a fancy packaging person at all, but I am all over this. The Entire Mystery Box, the FWWM Criterion and the Limited Event Series are all going to be so delightfully unique all next to each other. Now I just need to find a way to display the books along with it.

I'm pretty confident that most of you will get a kick out of this:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...150014295.html
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
Dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix.
Angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night.

I had the same concern, so I'm happy to see that it's in Best Buy's ad listings for the week. Just checked it on the website. For some reason, you can't reserve it for in-store pick-up (best I can tell, at least), but I am lot more confident now that I will have this in my hands Tuesday and for a good price.
My ten most wanted on Region A Blu-Ray (no particular order): Little Murders (1971), Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994), The Tall T (1957), There's Nothing Out There (1992), The Frightened Woman (aka The Laughing Woman) (1969), The Crimson Pirate (1952), Fade to Black (1980), Get Crazy (1983), Over the Edge (1979), The Black Cat (1934)

Could you take a closeup of the specs (if they're on the back, or if they were on some removable sheet on the back) just to help out all the people asking about language options? Or better yet, just boot up one of the discs and check subtitle options? Seems like no one else has it yet.

Either Phase 1 of the pickup quota has been reached or more likely like every week there are many releases that remove the pickup option on Sat/Sun pre-release. That option often returns on Tuesday morning aroun 1:15-1:30am ET which is frequently when the 2nd Wave Store quota are opened up for reserve copies.

Flipped Disc 1 in, and this is verbatim from the menu:

AUDIO:
English 5.1 Dolby TRUEHD

SUBTITLES:
English For The Hearing Impaired

No other options listed.
