Default "Vanguard Cinema" Titles

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know who has the rights to the old "Vanguard Cinema" titles ?

I know Freyr Thor sold the business back in 2012, but there's a whole catalog of really interesting titles that I would like to see on Blu-ray.

If anyone has any info about who has the rights to the "Vanguard" stuff, please let me know !!

Thanks all !!

According to his linkedin profile, he sold it to Anderson Digital which was acquired by Alchemy, LLC in 2015.

Alchemy, LLC filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last year, so that catalog and all the rest of their holdings are stuck in bankruptcy hell for the foreseeable future.

There are some really cool titles in the "Vanguard" catalog.

Scorpion Releasing might still have a valid license in place for Body Melt, but I have no idea if they have any plans for a Blu-Ray release or not.

Umbrella Entertainment did release a Blu-Ray late last year, in Australia, which is supposed to be region free.

Thanks mate. Wasn't aware of the Umbrella release...Just went and bought it on Amazon !!

Vanguard also did a lot of Spanish titles that I'd love to get my hands on as well.

For the rest of you lot, ANY other information regarding who has the right to ANY of Vanguard's titles would be much appreciated !!

Default Vanguard

Hey, just wanted to pop into this thread because I recently found two Vanguard DVDs in the wild, both compilations of short films (one AFI student films, the other selections from Sundance). The picture and sound quality on both is pretty abysmal, and there's even some spelling mistakes on the cover art, but I'd be interested to see what other hidden titles this company had their hands on.
