Looks upscale to me.

You can see same EE artefacts in the edge of top letterbox bar as in US dvd transfer.

My blu-ray arrived today and it looks quite solid. I'm pleased with my purchase. My guess is that this is the transfer that will be used on the possible Vestron release. It looks better than the caps would suggest.

This is not an SD sourced transfer, it is indeed HD and it's region free.

Judging by the capsaholic comparisons, there is an uptick in detail from DVD to BD, even though the BD transfer is mediocre.

It's quite a ways better than the old DVD. It's, at the very least, a large enough jump in quality.
