Default Rare french releases

Hello;

I've been placing several international orders from Amazon, and I'm looking into France as my next one. What are some Blu-ray releases that are only available in France? Region Code doesn't matter, as I'm using a region free player. What I've come up with so far is the Jacket and Walter Hill's Geronimo; these are only available as French Blu-rays. Any other good ones, or just special French releases a Blu-ray collector needs to own?

The Michael Haneke and Eric Rohmer box sets come to mind immediately. I also have Gun Crazy which is a superb package with hardbound book (in French) though it's mostly photographic. None have forced French subs but you have to be careful when ordering from France because it's often an issue.

The excellent A Very Long Engagement, only available as a French BD but has English subtitles. Great transfer as well!
Quite hard to get a hold of a copy these days though.

If you fancy noir, there are several France-only titles including:

Somewhere in the Night (1947)
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Somewh...lu-ray/153264/

House of Strangers (1949)
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/House-...lu-ray/164785/

Les Dernier des six

Joseph Losey's M (1951)

The Left Hand of God (1955) Not noir, but Bogey fighting Communism

and also not noir, there is the delightful Fantomas trilogy

That's a start.

If you prefer Poetic Realism, there are several important early Duvivier titles as well.

If you’re looking for rare French titles, they immediately come to my mind:

Oscar
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Oscar-Blu-ray/106923/

Péril en la demeure
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Peril-...Blu-ray/99860/

Both are region free, in French w/ English subtitles. Excellent films, too!

Werner Herzog's Invincible (2001), with Tim Roth, is only available in France. The film looks good and is all in English, with removable French subs. That's one film in my collection that I'm very happy to have, that I wouldn't hold out for to be released in other regions.

Man on the Moon (1999), one of my favourite films, is only out in Scandinavia and France (reportedly with removable subtitles), but that's one title I'm hoping will hit stateside eventually.
