With TOSlink (fiber) as the digital input, 2 channel for PCM is it's limit. You could get a new sub and solid receiver. Then just plug the existing speakers and new sub into the new receiver. I can't find specs on the speakers. I'd hate to damage a new receiver by plugging 4ohm jobbies into it.
