Default 50's & 60's Horror and Sci-Fi Wants on BD?

A plethora of awesome Horror and Sci-fi movies are out there from the 1050s and 1960s. What would you like to see coming to Blu-ray?

1. The incredible shrinking man.
2. Forbidden Planet.
3. Creature from the Black Lagoon.
4. The Thing from another world.
5. The Frozen Dead.
6. The Crawling Eye.
7. Planet of the Vampires.
8. Island of Terror.

I won't take them all. Please add your favorites....

Forbidden Planet is a definite buy for me. I would buy that one in a flash when it comes out.

Forbidden Planet is a must. The bad thing about older Sci Fi is that it just looks too fake.
Most anticipated release: The Hidden Fortress

Not this one... it looks brilliant The only mildly ropey scene is when the ship lands on the surface... it looks a bit puppet like. The rest is really good, though you have to make a adjustments that in the mid 1950's the microchip was still Sci-Fi, so it's a 1950 take on the future.

I still think the scene where the ship goes into orbit about Altair 4 is one of the best ships in space scenes ever... it just looks so lonely in the vast expanse of space.

IYO. Suspend that disbelief. You may not believe me just now, but wait 20 years or so when the next generation comes along and says the same thing about the CGI effects in movies we are watching right now.

Its all relative. My point is this... enjoy the films for the films themselves. Not because the effects look too fake or whatever. There are amazing older movies to enjoy that I hope come to BD soon so we can really see the fakey effects.

Forbidden Planet is number one. Others I wonder how much they would benefit from HD, like the Val Lewton films, etc.

I'd love to have Cat People and Curse of the Cat people on BD!

Invasion of the Body Snatchers, 1956 version. There's never even been a decent anamorphic DVD version.

Don't know who has the rights now. The US DVD was Republic, but the recent UK release (last year) was Universal, so that doesn't bode well for a Blu release (in the near future anyway).

This is an all time classic that deserves restoration and preservation.

I should have stated my comments a little different. My comment was supposed to exclude Forbidden Planet.

This is a brilliant suspense Sci-Fi film. Most favorite quote from this film:

"I never knew the meaning of fear, until I kissed Beckey".
