people do the redundant thread thing on every forum I've been to.. I've just never seen so many "Official" redundant threads.
I mean.. Blu Ray kicked some serious aRse the past few weeks and people here are fighting to get their official word in as if there's some prize involved. |

Toshiba is quite surprised by everyones decision to post offical threads in favor of Blu-ray, despite the fact that there are various contracts in place between our companies concerning the support of official threads. As central members of the DVD Forum, we have long maintained a close partnership with official thread starters. We worked closely together to help standardize the first-generation DVD format as well as to define and shape Official threads as its next-generation successor.
We were particularly disappointed that this decision was made in spite of the significant momentum Official threads have gained in the US market as well as other regions in 2007. Official players and PCs have outsold Blu-ray in the US market in 2007. We will assess the potential impact of this official announcement with the other official partner companies and evaluate potential next steps. We remain firm in our belief that official threads are the format best suited to the wants and needs of the consumer.

Since this is all "OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL" business that means we're keeping it "OFF THE RECORD" right.........right.

Because when a rumor starts, people become naive about it without the main source approving it. Or, some people don't understand if something is true or not, so they have to blurt it out a thousand times to get the message across. Perdicatable hypothetically speaking no?
Or, they want their threads to be sticked. Last edited by FailedEXE; 02-21-2008 at 03:33 AM. |
