Shawshank Redemption Shows up at Warner Bros. Store! - Blu-ray Forum

Looks like this one is on the way. i just ordered it from the Warner Bros. Store. Unfortunately, the currently listed release date is November 4th.

Well, I just got this email from WHV. Looks like this one has been pulled or they need to make a formal announcement down the road:

The release date is 11/4/2008!!...That's a serious pre-order. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that before!

it was origionally slated to be released in Q4 2007. i haven't seen it up anywhere else. That coupled with the fact that warner online is one of the worst places to buy bds when it comes to customer service on time shipping etc. I will definately wait until it is up on another site.

good news though it looks like we will get it eventually.

This will be a must buy for me! It's probably Tim Robbins' best performance.

Darn! I just bought it too. Oh well, I bought it for like $4 so I can't complain too much.

But its definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.

I am just happy the release date is that far away, i would be furious if this had a HD DVD Encode.

This is was not there the other day, so I wouldn't be surprised if an announcement is forthcoming...

FWIW they had Ganges listed on their site a day or so before the announcement was made...

It was on JR.com ... they acted like it was in stock, I ordered it thinknig what the hell, this was like 2 weeks ago... I got a cancellation email stating they would replace my movie for anotehr free ... I knew it would prolly get canceled, so i was happy.

But yeah, I'll buy this.

Here's to hoping that the date moves up. I can't understand why they would announce a title 10 months in advance. I ordered it anyway using the 25% discount code. You can't beat the price: $14.96
