This is my 2nd post. I know I read about UK release, but does anyone have a North American release date.

It's Dreamworks in the US, so it probably won't be released on Blu anytime soon.

I've got Almost Famous rented out at the moment, but I'm not going to watch it till I get my new receiver that will let me listen to the lossless audio. This movie sounded great on DVD, I'm expecting the lossless Blu-ray track to sound awesome!

Grain haters a going to have a shit-fit over this one. It looks like *SHOCK* an actual movie, not some PS3 cut-scene. Very nice.

Is it worth importing? I was thinking about getting this from sendit.com. I'm a huge fan of this movie, and would love to get it on Blu.

I hope when they release it in the US they offer both versions of the film (perhaps thru seemless branching). I really enjoy the bootleg cut, but I think the original is a tighter film.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge as I just got PS3 couple days ago, but aren't Blue Ray discs Region Coded? Just asking as someone said to get UK version.

Not all movies on Blu are region locked. It depends on the studio, in this case I think Sony put it out in England, and their movies are all region(A,B,C).

This site gives you the knowledge to be almighty and powerful

Region A is USA/Canada/Japan and Hong Kong
Region B is Europe Australia.

Just browse the region B titles and see if they are region free, if they are, it will work in your North American/Canadian/Japanese/Hong Kong machine.

I just ordered Almost Famous last night on blu-ray from Amazon Uk. It was like $22.40 shipped. Great movie.....can't wait to get it!

I got mine a few weeks ago. It was my first UK purchase to date. I couldn't be more happy with it. PQ and SQ are top notch. For the $24 delivered, I'm glad I didn't wait for the U.S. release

Definitely worth picking up. I got it from Sendit.com and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the film itself looked because the opening credits were far from impressive. This is the best Almost Famous has looked since it hit theaters back in 2000.

Sorry. I paid 13.49 pounds, $26.78 US. I was converting Euros to US. Ordered it Thursday, got it today. Very quick!!
