Reservoir Dogs Blu-ray

Reservoir Dogs Blu-ray Review

Saw it at Wal-Mart today. I already have the 15th anniversary edition on DVD.

Is the Blu-Ray worth it? My first thought was "no" which is why I passed on buying it. But I might be wrong on that.

I love the movie, but this is the worst PQ blu-ray I own. Unfortunately, I don't have a DVD to compare with. Some the extras look like they were done with a broken VHS recorder.

I have Reservoir Dogs and love it.The PQ is very good IMHO
I would give a 4 out of 5.I would say yes it is worth buying

Great Movie if you like the genre (I do) or if you admire the director (I don't - fortunatly this is "restrained" compared to usual Tarantino approach).

Not reference as it does look like it has been somewhat processed but certainly the best it has ever looked and is doubtful to be reissued anytime soon.

I was wondering about getting it aswell. I will probably hold off alittle longer untill I find it even cheaper as I just bought the 15th ani a few months ago.

Besides "Pulp Fiction" and "Snatch", this is one of my favorite movies. I love the way this movie has that stage effect. Picture was much better than the DVD!

I have it and I like it, it ultimately comes to do you like it? I pick this up for $20 and it's been worth it. I just hope they hurry up and release Pulp Fiction on Blu-ray...

It seemed like a big PQ upgrade over the standard DVD to my eyes, plus it's a great movie.

I watched Rdogs for the time as a Blu-ray rental. It was one of the first Blu's that ever watched. I can't compare it to any previous releases, but IMO the PQ looked pretty awesome. I would not call it reference quaity, but then again Tarantino's movies always have a different look about them. If you're a fan of Rdogs, then definatly go buy it. I enjoyed watching it once, but it didn't grab me the way some of Tarantino's other works have.

This is about as good as it's gonna get for this awesome indy movie from 92'. It looks and sounds very good.

I have to agree. This was a low budget indie film. If I'm not mistaken didn't Keitel help fund or raise money to produce this film? Anyways if you've seen the DVD version numerous times like me you'll appreciate the quality of the blu-ray version. Pulp fiction had a somewhat higher budget to film but it still looks like crap on DVD, hence I cannot wait for the eventual Blu-Ray release. RD was the 2nd Blu-Ray I bought and it's a keeper.

I couldn't disagree more...certainly not reference quality, but a solid 4 stars for PQ and decent audio

totally agree Pulp Fiction and Snatch are amazing movies and would pay for them to be on blu

I'v seen the first half hour of this movie a dozen times but have yet to watch the entire movie. One of these days. Some great star power me thinks.

i got it on walmart black friday unlisted blu sale. i picked it up along with house of flying daggers for 30 as christmas present from my girl instead of something else couldnt resist. I compared it to the most recent dvd and the pq is by far superior and worth owning if you are a fan of the movie. i was impressed unlike the usual supsect which i was dissapointed in the transfer
