Default Just finished August Rush (BD)

I saw this movie with my daughter in the movie (she's 11) and we both really enjoyed it.

So tonight we ran up to wal-mart and picked it up as they were stocking it.

The blu-ray is a good video presentation, I'm not a reviewer so all I can say is it looked good but wasn't pristine like some other movies. Still a good overall view.

Their is no lossless track, it's just dolby digital 5.1. I found this interesting considering the movie itself emphasizes music so much. Nevertheless it sounded good, I just wonder how GREAT it could have been.

If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend watching it as it really is a great movie. Jonathon Rhys Meyers (The Tudors, MI:III) does a great job and he sings, who'd have thought, and is actually is damn good. Keri Russell (Felicity, and other stuff I'm sure) is also in it and plays a good part. The boy is a good actor as well, I believe his name is Freddie Highmore. Robin Williams also plays his part very well, albeit eccentric which should be no surprise he's good at it.

Good sountrack too if you like music.

As for extras it's pretty bare. There are about 6 cut scenes you can watch and that's it.

For a blu-ray it's pretty stripped down, it's a Warner Brothers release.

I still recommend it if just for the movie/story line.
Blu-ray Titles: 42 and counting

PS3 ID: Kirium
