I know they're probably going to release the Matrix as a trilogy but if it was just by itself which would you pick? Batman Begins or The Matrix. I'll even add the Batman Anthology which will have all the Batman movies and the Matrix trilogy.

Batman Begins.
I'd probably buy Batman as the anthology as well before the Matrix...however I HATE Batman and Robin...first two are great, third is pretty good. Matrix, first one great, second ok, third sucked. Batman Begins is just awesome

Batman Begins . . . not even a competition in my mind. But I'll be getting both. They can keep the Burton/Schumacher films.
You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you. They will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.

Just Batman Begins (Thank you, Christopher Nolan) and The Matrix... just the first one... the rest of the trilogy was a real disappointment to me.

I stopped watching during the 45-minute underground club scene montage in Part 2.. I literally stopped the disc and never watched another minute of The Matrix.

In my humble opinion, The Matrix is the best sci-fi movie I have seen. I think it is the perfect movie for Blu-Ray (great visuals and sound effects). The second Matrix movie is not as good as the original, but the freeway chase scene is spectacular. Not to mention the Twins (too bad they did not appear in the third movie).
As far as Batman goes, I liked Batman Begins very much, but the original Tim Burton directed Batman is the best of the series. Michael Keaton was very, very good as Batman and let's not forget about Jack as the Joker. "Wait till they get a load of me......" Jack pulled off that performance perfectly. |

I'll buy the first Matrix, Batman/Batman Returns (Tim Burton), and Batman Begins.
Not a fan of the Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. I also was not a fan of Matrix Reloaded or Revolutions. The visuals were cool but the acting and story took a back seat where the first one had both up front. |

The original Matrix changed sci-fi/action movie making. Reloaded and Rovolutions, although not as good as the original, took CGI to another level. I cannot think of another set of films that would look or sound as good on blu-ray. As long as Warner handles the transfers well, like these films or not, they will all be must haves as reference material.
P.S. I love all three movies alot, so nananybooboo!lol

Michael Keaton is Batman in my humble opinion.
Christian Bale makes a good Bruce Wayne, but a terrible Batman! Keaton owned both. The costumes were better, the sets were better and the first Batmobile was waaaaaay better than the "Tumbler" as a stealthy vechicle. I'll probably end up getting the Batman anthology just for those two movies. I'll hide the other two in a closet somewhere or sell 'em on eBay! The Matrix is amazing .... but how many times can I watch it? I've seen it enough in the last 10 years to not want to watch it again anytime soon and I already have the DVDs of all three movies and the Animatrix. I don't own any Batman on DVD. I wasn't a huge fan of Batman begins, but will probably get it as I am looking forward to The Dark Knight. SFK
.... looking for the cracks in the way that we're designed ...

The only Batman movie I liked was Batman Begins, and even that was a bit too cartoonish (The roof top driving) I also kinda like Matrix, but only the 1st one, 2 sucked and 3 was a let down. At this point the only one I am sure to get is BB, but if I get blu-money buring in my pockets, I may get matrix, but only if they come seperat and I can get the 1st one.
