Considering how absolutely HORRIBLE sonic games have been for so long now, this looks like its going to be a HUGE success, looks like everything awesome from the old 2-d versions + HD goodness + 3-D levels but not tacked on! AWESOME!

Does look much better. Going back to the good ol side scroller style is a huge step in the right direction. I wouldn't mind if the entire thing was that way, maybe even in a LittleBigPlanet graphic style. That would be sweet.

I used to love Sonic games but not anymore. All you do is run lol. I'm not judging this game, it looks cool but I'm just not into Sonic as I used to be.

The first two Sonic on the Genesis are two of the best games ever made, especially for their time. I was always a big Sonic fan over Mario. I have been waiting for EVER for a new Sonic game to play similar to the older games and this looks awesome! Hopefully we see some videos soon with some enemy bashing.

Not 'Old School' enough for my liking, still whizzy camera angles which made the current one on the PS3 rubbish. I was house sitting for my mate who had a PS3 and played Sonic, but I gave up, got so frustrated. Bring back the pure stuff.

Ive still got my Mega Drive and Sonics somewhere!

yeah....I honestly think they'd do much better if they went back to the original style completely, side scrolling, none of that "I go superfast around corners and the camera can't keep up" crap.

Also, did he run through an enemy? what happened to jumping on them?

Changed my mind, this game looks horrible, I just went back and Played my favourite video game ever, sonic the hedgehog 2 on the old sega....i hate this new one before it's even out

It's being said that a good chunk of this is a real leak, and SEGA isn't happy about it. Word is that ONM in the UK and Play were supposed to have exclusives, but now? No telling where that stands.

you know, what they should do is remake sonic the hedgehog 2 for the new consoles, just make everything 3d....but still completely, and i mean completely, a side scroller

The only sonic game that I really thought held up very
well was that one that came out for the dreamcast,
I remember playing that at the stores and really liking the
graphics.

Never bought a dreamcast of course.
